Company History

Abbott Energy Systems was established in 2009 as a division of Abbott Furnace Company to specialize in the manufacture of biomass furnaces and related equipment. Abbott Furnace Company was itself established in 1982 as a manufacturing and service company for control panels. In 1986 Abbott manufactured its first continuous belt furnace for the heat treat industry. In the years that have followed Abbott has expanded into diverse domestic and foreign industries including powdered metal, annealing, brazing, thick film processing, glass-to-metal sealing, fuel cells and biomass heating.

 

Abbott Furnace Company has a 50,000 sq ft modern manufacturing facility located in the City of St. Marys in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Our growth is based on a focus on technology and service which is underpinned by a long-tenured, very experienced workforce.
